It rained the time you said goodbye
Their world was trying not to cry
The pain and grief's been hard to bear
It really helps to know you're there

Cypsela twirling in the air
And feathers you have placed just where
They'd see them and know that you
Are trying to get your message through

To feel you standing by their side
And see the signs you leave behind
Gives comfort to them day to day
But that deep loss won’t go away

But you are there, with them each day
In their work and in their play
You're in their hearts, deep inside
And day to day you are their guide

They think of you in all they do
And they think about what you would do
And then they laugh as they feel you smile
And they can smile with you a while.
